Stephen finds inspiration from his own photographs, friends photos, his memories of holidays and places visited; or just his imagination to paint landscapes. Sometimes will crop a photo down and use that and use artistic licence in his work.
Some paintings are semi-abstract using ink and watercolour to represent the beautiful Shropshire countryside. Or they could be quite realistic too. Stephen also uses acrylic, oils and gouache or a mixed media approach .
